🎧 Reviewing Your Tracks on Samply

To ensure your project sounds exactly right, I use Samply for audio reviews. It allows you to leave precise feedback directly on the track. Here is how to use it:

1. Getting Started

  • On Desktop: Click the link I sent to open the player in your browser. 💻

  • On Mobile: For the best experience, you can download the Samply App (iOS/Android). 📱

2. Opening the Comment View

To leave a note, you need to engage the player first:

  • Play the song. ▶️

  • Once playing, click the "Comment" button.
    (Note: If you already see comments on the file, you can simply click the 💬 icon).

3. How to Leave Comments

Here are the three ways to time-stamp your notes:

Single Point 📍

This is the default setting.

Pointing out a specific click, pop, or a single word tweak.

No Timestamp 🌎

Click the Clock Icon 🕒 to toggle the time OFF.

General feedback like "The overall volume should be louder" or "Approved! ✅"

Time Range 📏

Click the second Time Numbers (e.g., 00:10 - 0:43) to set a start & end point.

Feedback on a whole section, e.g., "This chorus needs more energy."

4. Comparing Versions

The player will always load the latest version automatically. To listen to older versions:

  • Look for the Version Name (e.g., "v1") or the Stack Icon (looks like layered papers) near the track duration.

  • Click it to see the history list and select the previous version you want to hear.
